The ASEAN Carbon Pricing
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Thailand, in partnership with the UNFCCC Regional Collaboration Centre (UNFCCC-RCC), Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the British Embassy Bangkok, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland, is proud to host The ASEAN Carbon Pricing Conference. The conference aims to shed light on the pivotal role of carbon pricing instruments, including carbon crediting mechanisms, in expediting climate action. It will also explore the future significance of carbon markets, particularly in facilitating the transition to a net-zero greenhouse gas emissions environment. The conference is set to be a platform for various stakeholders to engage in meaningful discussions, exchange ideas, and learn from one another while identifying key success factors. Additionally, it anticipates fostering regional collaboration and the potential for a regional integrated carbon market to bolster the effectiveness of carbon pricing implementation across Southeast Asia.
