The lush green land and rice fields over an area of 17 rai in Nong Chok area is where organic, chemical-free Hom Patum rice is cultivated. Today, Abhisiree Charanjavanaphet, the owner of Duangtawan Baansuan – an urbanite who grows rice and vegetables as well as raises chickens for their eggs – has opened up her home as an agricultural learning center focusing on rice, from rice species, cultivation, harvest, to cooking, in order to allow visitors to experience the way of life of farmers and villagers from self-reliant communities.
