Pattaya Exhibition and Convention Hall

Day 2:

The delegates broadened their scope of learning in just one day on Day 2 of the workshop. With the topics delivering concept, approach, fact & figure and case studies on bidding trends, business models for clients and suppliers, and management of events under tough times, strategic partnership between clients and suppliers became clearer in focus for the delegates.

The content of the workshop was further enriched by the two-hour live stream seminar from Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Supported by Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau, the live stream was broadcast online to global audience under the titled “what do associations really think about risks and rewards for outsourcing their events and what are the marketing implications for suppliers?”

The workshop ended with delegates sharing their minds on what they can take away from the two-day workshop. Available resources yet to be utilized for meeting industry, understanding their industry partners through role play, deeper insight about clients, some ethical practices and business working models are some of the highlights they cited.

The two-day workshop was led and moderated by Mr. Juan Jose Garcia, 1st Vice President of International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) and Mr. Noor Hamid Ahmad, Regional Director of ICCA Asia Pacific. Other speakers were from overseas PCO (MCI Malaysia), and two local organizations: the Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons of Thailand and Foundation for the Employment Promotion of the Blind.
