Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) collaborated with International Convention and Congress Association (ICCA) in enhancing learning opportunities and updating knowledge for industry partners and professionals around the globe.
The collaboration with global association is part of TCEB’s strategy to promote and showcase Thailand’s readiness for events that can attract global audience via online technology and for any initiatives that can contribute to the industry at international level.
It is actually marking another milestone for the collaboration of TCEB and ICCA, following TCEB’s first support of ICCA’s hybrid session seminar on bidding for global audience in 2013. The seminar was part of ICCA’s annual Research, Sales and Marketing Program (RSMP).
To achieve such strategy, TCEB supported the two-hour live online or hybrid session seminar of ICCA’s annual RSMP in 2014. The event titled “what do associations really think about the risks and rewards of outsourcing their events and what the marketing implications for suppliers?” was broadcast live on internet from Amsterdam, the Netherlands. It was watched by over 300 online participants in 41 countries on July 4, while there were 217 messages about the seminar on chat sent in by participants.
As part of TCEB’s mission to strengthen ties with its stakeholders in the country to develop the meeting industry, TCEB helped the Thai partners keep up with the complex issue on outsourcing of associations by incorporating the hybrid session into the two-day ICCA Thailand Workshop 2014 held during 3-4 July 2014 at Pattaya Exhibition and Convention Hall (PEACH).
The workshop was organized by ICCA Thailand Committee. It was aimed at creating and strengthening strategic partnership between clients and suppliers. Thus, it was complemented by the content of the hybrid session seminar on outsourcing of associations. The workshop was attended by 30 delegates representing hotel industry, venue operators, professional conference organizers, DMCs, F&B services, logistics service providers, university, associations. ICCA Thailand Workshop 2014 was honored by the presence of the lead speaker from ICCA, Mr. Juan Jose Garcia, 1st Vice President of ICCA and was moderated by Mr. Noor Ahmad Hamid, Regional Asia Pacific Director of ICCA Asia Pacific Office. Other speakers were from overseas PCO and two local associations.
TCEB-ICCA collaboration in hybrid session seminar for global audience will continue in 2015.
